We are always looking for new volunteers to join our growing and friendly team.

Roles include:

Back of House- packing food according to client preferences following our ‘packing list’. Sorting food items in the store cupboard, stock rotation, bagging up fresh fruit and veg at the beginning of each session.

Front of House- listening and befriending, talking to clients about their situation, noting down relevant information, signposting clients to relevant support services and going through our packing lists with them.

Kitchen- preparing lunch and teas/coffees for our clients and volunteers and running these to tables.

Volunteers generally arrive from 10:30am on a Wednesday to help set up the hall and leave at around 2:10pm (depending on how busy it’s been!) having packed away. We welcome volunteers who can give their time every week, fornightly, once a month or in the holidays! Please be aware that, whilst we welcome volunteers under the age of 18, they will need to be supervised by a parent or guardian or adult that knows them whilst at the foodbank.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer for the Foodbank, please download our volunteer application form here: Volunteer Application 2018.
